Fitness Shortcuts To Success

Everyone is looking for shortcuts to getting results fast… How to biohack their life to get leaner, stronger and fitter.

We all know that there really isn’t any shortcut besides showing up, doing the work and eating appropriately for your goals.

But there is one shortcut that keeps coming up the more I talk to people who have been successful in their fitness journeys.

Yesterday we interviewed Newcastle’s “most flexible couple” Rod and Jeni from The Movement Collective for our podcast The Newstrength Way

One of the key ideas that came up from our conversation both on the recording and before it was the things that we’ve found leading to success both for ourselves and with our clients.

Jeni shared with us that when she first began training with Rod it was with a group of mostly guys and when they started doing muscle ups, she was driven to keep up with them. Instead of getting caught up saying I can’t do it because I’m a girl or finding a reason not too she just kept training hard following the same things that everyone else had done to get their own first muscle up.

Weeks later she hit her first strict muscle up and not long after was completing multiple reps just like the rest of the guys.

So what made Jeni be able to achieve this feat of strength that most guys and girls wish they could in a fraction of the time?

I believe it’s because Jeni was exposed to the one legitimate shortcut to success in training…

Surrounding yourself with a supportive community of people who have gone where you want to and can help you along the way…

This is the same reason we find more people hit deadlift PR’s when we hold our Beers, Burgers & Deadlift events than any other time.

When you try to get through a journey by yourself, you need to figure out the path yourself… Often this comes by making a mistake then going back to try a new way.

I’ve done this plenty of times when trying to find new ways to approach training and there’s one thing I can guarantee with it… Progress can be slow, real slow sometimes.

On the other hand, when I’ve surrounded myself with the right people. Progress comes significantly quicker and often without a lot of trouble in the process.

So if you’re looking to make fast progress, stop looking for the program or diet that’s going to get you the results your after…

Start looking for the right people to help you get there.
